Sorry about the missed comic on Friday. On Thursday my personal life took a decidedly horrid turn. I was too busy angsting to update, and for that you have my apologies. The good news is that I’ve got comics done through InterventionCon, so I shouldn’t miss any updates for a few weeks.

I’m having one of those days . . . . The kind where you don’t get much sleep, so you drink a lot of caffeine to get through a long day at work, but then when you get home you can’t sleep because of all the caffeine . . . I’m wired and exhausted. So much fun.

Sorry the comic is a little late. I was out later than I expected. It’s a long story. Just imagine it involved raptors, and it’s so much funnier than it actually was.

Wow, I’m back. If you missed it, about a week ago, my computer melted. A fan died, overheated my video card, shorted out my power supply and melted stuff. Thankfully, the hard drive was fine, and it is now installed in my new computer. It’s pretty sweet, except I have to reinstall everything, and I lost all my settings. (I had so many macros set up for the comic, it’s not even funny. Masking, resizing, you name it . . . I had to do it BY HAND for this one . . . How I used to do this all the time, I don’t know, but I digress.)

The one upside of my computer melting is that I had a lot of free time to draw. I am ahead in comics, so the updates should come regularly and on time for the time being.

Okay, so if you’re wondering why I haven’t updated, my computer melted last week. No, seriously, the fan gave out on my video card at some point, which started melting and shorted out my power supply. After a dozen attempts at fixing it, I gave up and just bought a new computer. (Thankfully, the old hard drive was saved, which had all my files for the comic.) Sooooo, yeah. New comic up Monday, sorry for the week off. I hope I never have to do that again.

Been a fun day. New comics, bought a pogo stick at the thrift store (Commander Keen, hoooo!) and going to see Scott Pilgrim. I’d say how I felt about the movie for sure, but I’m writing this at 9:00 Thursday, and I’m going to see the midnight showing . . . But needless to say, it’s gonna rule. I mean, it’s Edgar Wright doing SCOTT PILGRIM!

I’ve been slipping into the Lucas Lee voice all week. My roommate is slightly unnerved.

Yesterday was an amazing day for me. Mookie, the cool cat the does Dominic Deegan is on vacation, and he asked people to draw filler for him. I submitted a piece, and it went up! It’s been the highlight of my . . . well, like, the last month or so. You can see the pic here.

I’ve also decided to actually try to write something for once. My blog generally is me saying “wow, I don’t update a lot, here’s a short list of what’s been going on, I’ll totally write something real later,” or “wah, my life sucks /emo.” In an attempt to force myself to write, I’ve decided to write a review for every episode of Batman: the Animated Series. I just got the complete series on DVD, so I’ll write them as I go along. The master list of reviews is here. Let me know what you think.
